Schools in Fiji

Welcome to SPF's "Projects We Are Focusing On" page, where we spotlight our initiatives dedicated to providing Clean Drinking Water for Schools and bolstering climate resilience. Our commitment to hygiene and sanitation in schools is paramount, ensuring that the water used by students is safe and healthy.

About the project

Starting point

In a recent news interview, the importance of this initiative was underscored by its focus on addressing the water crisis directly impacting Fijian communities. With heartfelt appreciation expressed towards SPF and the Khan family for their proactive stance, the significance of collaborative efforts in tackling this pressing issue was highlighted.

Support from local communities

Nadi businessman Gulab Khan, alongside his sons Salmaan and Sahib Khan, has stepped forward to sponsor Water Sanitation Services for two schools and a mosque in Nadi. Their sponsorship extends to Mulomulo Primary School, Meganiyah Muslim Primary School, and the Mulomulo Mosque. Having lived in Nadi his entire life, Khan understands the firsthand challenges surrounding water supply and sanitation in the community.

Results

As SPF Founder Ratu Lavisai Kabakoro emphasizes, the collective action of proactive citizens and organizations like SPF is crucial in confronting the water crisis. With an understanding of the challenges faced by governing bodies, SPF remains dedicated to bridging the gap and ensuring access to clean water for all.

Join us as we strive to make a tangible difference in the lives of Fijians, one school at a time. Together, we can combat the water crisis and build a resilient future for generations to come.
